CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's basketball team had its regular season and six-game winning streak come to an end with a 72-61 loss at Cortland (18-7, 12-6) on Friday night. With the loss, Oswego will enter the SUNYAC Championship with an 18-7 overall record and an 11-7 mark in SUNYAC play.
Oswego was paced by
Alex Rawa's career-high 19 points to go along with seven rebounds. The senior was 7-for-14 from the floor, including 4-for-7 from 3-point land.
Mykelle Krecko also had a career night, recording his second double-double at Oswego. The transfer-junior tied a career-high with 13 rebounds and set a new career-best with 14 points.
Aiding in the effort was
Keith Tyson, chipping in nine points and six rebounds. Senior
Kyle Covley scored nine points as well while junior
Brian Sortino had eight points, a team-high four assists and three boards.
Seeding, opponent, dates and times for the postseason tournament will be determined following Saturday's conference contests.
