CANTON, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's volleyball team suffered a 3-1 setback at St. Lawrence on Wednesday night.  Scores for the sets were 16-25, 19-25, 25-16, 25-14.  With the loss, the Lakers' record falls to 2-2 while the Saints improve to 5-0.

Leading the Lakers in kills was senior Isabella Winklestine with 10.  Juniors Ariana Wright and Alison Sullivan chipped in with five kills each.  Julia Flohr led the team in assists with 18 and digs with 11, while Sullivan got 4 blocks on the night.

Defense was the story of the match as the Saints held the Lakers to a .103 attack percentage while hitting .288 on the night and out-served the visitors 10 to 3 in aces.

The Lakers return to the court on Friday when they travel to Penn State-Behrend for a match with The College of Wooster at 5 p.m. and a rematch with Penn State-Behrend University at 7:15 p.m.  The following day, the team will play Thiel College and Allegheny College.
