CANTON, N.Y. - The Oswego State Women's Soccer team rolled past SUNY Canton by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference matchup.  The Lakers are unbeaten in their last three contests with a pair of wins and a tie, and they keep momentum heading into their final conference weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lakers struck first in the fifteenth minute when senior Audrey Burbidge connected on a shot to the far post for her first goal of the season.  Her goal was assisted by freshman Liz Myers.
• Sophomore Mackenzie Schaffner made it 2-0 moments before halftime when she converted an Oswego penalty kick in the forty-third minute.  It was her team-leading sixth goal of the season.
• The Green and Gold pressured the 'Roos much of the first half with senior Gab Garcea hitting the post in the fourth minute and Burbidge ringing the crossbar in the nineteenth minute.
• Oswego dominated the first half with a 16-1 shot advantage, 11 on goal, and a 4-1 edge in corners.
• It was all Oswego in the second half with a 15-1 shot advantage but neither team found the back of the net.
• In goal, junior Emma Allen recorded her sixth shutout of the season and the ninth of her career to move into fifth all-time in Oswego Women's Soccer history in the category.
