Thomas Osborn was able to collect a loose ball off a
Hassan Musa corner, and lift it over the goalkeeper in the upper-left 90 with less than two minutes remaining in the final overtime.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego looked to be out to an early lead as Jack Van Pelt was able to beat the keeper just 13 minutes into the first half. The Laker goal was quickly retracted, following a dispute about ownership of the throw-in leading up to the goal being scored.
- Morrisville was able to strike first and held a 1-0 lead for 14 minutes, until a header by Sean Ormsby reached the back of the net. Ormsby's goal came off a Santiago Soto corner kick at 28:15 in the first.
- Oswego outshot the Mustangs by 17 (23-6) and held a healthy advantage in corner kicks (12-1).
- The Lakers accrued were very aggressive in the offensive end and helped to keep the pressure off sophomore goalie Brian Terra, who did not have to make a save in the contest, while securing the victory.
- This is the third season in a row that the team clinched a season- and home-opening triumph.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers return to action at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday as they host Hamilton College Continentals.
