HOW IT HAPPENED
- In a scoreless first-half for the Lakers, Houghton was able to take a 1-0 lead at 18:38 of the first half.
- With 19 minutes remaining in the second half, Leah Romanowski sent what appeared to be a game-tying goal to the back of the net. The goal was then called back as referees determined she struck the ball from outside the circle.
- DeMichael quickly answered back with just 17 minutes remaining, as she was able to collect a pass from Little and beat the keeper at the front of the net.
- DeMichael clinched the Lakers' victory with under five minutes remaining as she collected an Emily Conklin pass.
- Goalkeeper Joanna Christman padded away five Highlander goals to move to 2-0 on the year.
- Oswego had the same amount of shots on-goal as the Highlanders, despite having eight less penalty corners, as the Lakers' defense and goalie stood tall on their half of the field.

The Lakers hit the road for a 4:30 p.m. non-conference tilt at Elmira College on Wednesday.
