OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team fell to Fredonia at home on Friday. Oswego's third doubles were able to claim a match point.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 

• Erin Vargo and Haru Kobayshi were able to nab a match point in their third doubles pairing.
• The duo took a close 8-7 win over the Blue Devils' Taylor Marelli and Mallory Mecca in a 7-2 tie-break.
• The second doubles team of Bridget Bender and Samantha Spence dropped a close 8-5 matchup.
• Bender led the Lakers' closest singles matchup, in a 6-1, 6-3 with Fredonia's Sarah Bunk.
• Kobayshi looked to claim her singles matchup, as she fell in the first set (6-0), before her rally fell just short in the second (6-3).
• Eliza Johnson dropped a 6-1, 6-1 fourth singles matchup with Mikayla Johnson.
