OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's soccer team was unable to score in a lost to Oneonta at home on Saturday. Oswego applied early pressure in the second half to try and even the game, but a Red Dragon insurance tally sullied the Lakers' comeback bid.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oneonta opened the game with a rebound goal at 34:31 of the first half.
- Coming out of halftime down 1-0, the Lakers possessed the ball in their offensive zone for several minutes.
- Despite controlling the ball, Oswego was only able to attempt one shot, which was blocked by a Red Dragon defender.
- Oneonta's second goal came at the end of the 61st minute, as a scrum in the front of the net concluded with a floated shot over Emma Allen's outstretched fingertips.
- Allen made four saves in the loss.
- Lynsey Roth led Oswego with five shots, one coming on-net.
- The Lakers' other on-goal chance came from Audrey Burbidge, who accumulated a total of two shots.
- Maggie Riordan accounted for the eighth of Oswego's eight shots.
WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego will now hit the road for five-straight games, the first four of which are SUNYAC battles. The road trip begins at 4 p.m. on Friday at Plattsburgh.
