FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Oswego State men's soccer team fell to Fredonia in overtime on Friday afternoon. Despite applying offensive pressure in the first half, the Lakers were unable to find the back of the net.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Fredonia's Matt Belardi scored the game-winning goal on a high shot to the center part of the net just 2:43 into overtime. 
• For the final 46 seconds of the first half and the remainder of the game, Oswego played a man down due to a red card. 
• After putting five shots on-goal in the first half, the Lakers were unable to record one in either the second half or overtime. 
• Logan Sperano (2), Mason Burch, Kieran Gilroy and Ryan Young each had shots on-goal to account for the Lakers' five. Both of Sperano's opportunities came in the first three minutes of the game.
• In 92-plus minutes between the pipes, Brian Terra recorded five saves. 
• The Lakers held an advantage in corner kicks, 7-5.

Oswego will conclude its regular season with a matchup against Buffalo State on Saturday at 4 p.m. Saturday's conference games will determine seeding and playoff game locations for next week's SUNYAC Championship.
