ALBANY, N.Y. - The Oswego State field hockey team rallied from two goals down in the second half to force overtime, but fell, 3-2, in extra time on the road at the Sage Colleges.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Sage took the early lead with a goal midway through the first period and another just before the end of the stanza.
• It was a defensive battle in the second period with the two teams combining for just a pair of shots.
• The Lakers broke through at 35:16 of the third period when Alyssa DeMichael scored unassisted for her second goal of the season.
• Oswego continued to control things, outshooting the Gators 12-4 in the period.
• Goalie Erica Scheblein kept the team in it with three of her nine saves in the fourth period.
• Kathleen Little scored the equalizer at 51:52 on an assist from DeMichael.  It was Little's third of the season.
• It was all Oswego early in overtime with four shots on goal, but Sage's Sara O'Connor notched her thirteenth goal of the season to give the hosts the victory at 67:54.
• Oswego took 22 shots with 15 on goal to 19 and 12 for Sage.  Sage had eight penalty corners to six for the Lakers.
