POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's swimming and diving team earned a win in their dual meet with the Clarkson Golden Knights to improve to 3-1 on the young season.
Meghan Maquet (18 points) and
Kayla Merrill (17 points) led the Lakers in individual scoring to pace the Lakers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The diving trio of Maquet, Laura Bornheimer and Jess Azoulay was critical in the women's victory, outscoring Clarkson by a total of 31-5.
- Madeleine Crean, Eva Potvin, Kelsey Oliverio, and Merrill opened up the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:12:59.
- Julia Lamb finished in second to round off the 800 freestyle with a final time of 10:27:75.
- Crean won the 100 backstroke, with nine points and a time of 1:13:24.
- Grace Parente was victorious in the 200 butterfly crushing the competition by a time difference of nearly two seconds.
- Merrill took her second victory of the day in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:37:47.
- The women tallied a total of seven event wins, but their depth helped them take control of the meet against the Golden Knights.
- Keaton Maring contributed 11 points in individual scoring while Emily Ross added nine.
- Lok Chi Hon, Jill Leahy, Twyla Nastasia and Maggie Romano all added five points.
- Walker Snowden led the men with three individual wins (50 free, 100 free and 100 butterfly) and led off the winning 400 freestyle relay team.

The men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host the Golden Eagles of Brockport on Saturday November 23 at 1 p.m. at Laker Pool.
