HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Oswego State women's basketball team got double-doubles from
Ramatoulaye Sy and
Sydni Eure as they pushed Hilbert College to the brink in a 62-61 setback on the road on Tuesday evening in the season opener for the Lakers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was a back-and-forth opening half with Hilbert racing out to a 26-13 after the first quarter.
- The Lakers switched momentum during the second quarter, outscoring the Hawks 26-9 to go up 39-35 at the half.
- Sy had her double-double by the end of the first half with 18 points and 10 rebounds on 6-for-6 shooting from the field and the free throw line.
- Oswego maintained a four-point lead heading into the final quarter at 50-46 after both teams scored 11 points in the third quarter.
- Behind a Morgan Wolanin free throw, the Lakers held a seven-point advantage with just under seven minutes left in the contest.
- A 10-2 run over the next four minutes gave Hilbert the 58-57 lead with a little over two minutes remaining.
- Sy and Eure hit jumpers coming down the stretch to knot the score at 61-61.
- AÂ made free throw from the hosts and a Laker missed 3-pointer in the final seconds gave Hilbert the victory.
- Sy finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds while Eure had 15 and 11, respectively.
- Raiven Encarnacion had nine points and Quincey Zimmerman had eight.
- Hilbert was a 2019 NCAA Tournament qualifier last season after going 22-6 and winning the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference last season.
