CORTLAND, N.Y - The Oswego State men's soccer team lost a heartbreaker against Cortland, fighting through two overtime periods before falling in penalty kicks. The team concludes their season with a 9-7-2 (4-4-1 SUNYAC) record.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half held back and forth action with each team remaining scoreless. Cortland had the edge in shots 8-4, with Oswego taking the advantage in corner kicks, 3-2.
- Cortland was able to strike first with just over eight minutes remaining in regulation.
- The Lakers responded just two minutes later with a rocket free kick by Omar Espinoza to the upper left side of the goal, just out of the reach of the Cortland goalie, for his first goal of the year.
- With only eight seconds remaining in regulation, Cortland went down a man after a red card was issued to their captain, Miguel Tunas.
- Up a man, the Lakers pressured the Red Dragons with seven shots during both overtime periods.
- After the two overtime periods, the game advanced to penalty kicks.
- Junior Brian Terra kept the Lakers in it by making two crucial saves in the shootout.
- The shootout took eight rounds and Oswego would fall just short 6-5.
- Terra would finish the game with five saves.
