GENESEO, N.Y. –
Liam Sanborn used 8-for-11 shooting for 21 second-half points in helping Oswego pull away from Geneseo in a 70-59 victory to earn the team its first SUNYAC victory of the young season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego found themselves down by 10 with 6:09 left in the first half with Geneseo up 25-15.
- Joe Sullivan knocked down a couple of free-throws to begin a run for the Lakers spanning from 5:44 to 1:53 remaining in the first half. During this run Sullivan grabbed four rebounds and dropped in five points.
- The Laker run was 14-0 with Kaleb Cook also knocking down two from beyond the arc to gave the Lakers the lead at 29-25, something they would hold onto for the remainder of the half and head into the break with a 33-30 advantage.
- Oswego was aggressive on the boards as 17 out of their 33 points in the first half came from second chances.
- Early in the second half, the teams were tied at 42-42, when the Lakers went on a 11-2 run spanning from 15:44-10:56, putting them up 53-44.
- After going 0-2 in the first half, Sanborn knocked down four from distance, his last pushing the lead to 19 points at 68-49 with 4:35 remaining in the contest.
- Joe Sullivan finished the game with a double-double retrieving 12 rebounds and scoring 15 points.
- Freshman Kaleb Cook ended the game with nine points on 3-of-4 from three-point range.
- Brandan Gartland finished off with five rebounds and seven points while Jordan Brown and Jeremiah Sparks each had six points for the Oswego.
- The Lakers nearly tripled Geneseo in 3-point field goals, with an edge of 11-4.

The Lakers will travel to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to take on the Montclair State Red Hawks on Saturday January 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Panzer Athletic Center as part of Moravian College's Steel Club Classic.
