Raiven Encarnacion continued her confident shooting in going 5-for-11 from beyond the arch and finishing with a team-high 16 points as the Oswego State women's basketball team fell at Geneseo 72-48.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers started out tough against the Knights with four players scoring in keeping it 10-9 in the early going.
- Geneseo went on an 8-0 run over the final 5:43 of the quarter to open up a cushion.
- Oswego showed toughness in the defensive zone grabbing 13 rebounds in the first half.
- The Knights pulled away from the Lakers in the second quarter going on a run of 22-10 and hitting 6-of-8 from distance.
- The Lakers came out strong on the defensive end after the half, chipping away at the lead by holding the Knights to only four points in the first five minutes of the third quarter.
- They stuck with the Knights in the third quarter battling back and forth with freshman Taylor Torchia scoring five points in the quarter and finishing the game with nine.
- It was an even second half as each team scored 29 points.
- Sydni Eure continues to be a threat for the Lakers as she scored 10 points and scooped nine rebounds.

The Lakers will return home to host the Wells College Express in the Max Ziel Gymnasium January 5 at 2 p.m. to start their 2020 campaign.
