HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
- Oswego owned the game's first lead, wasting no time with a pair of runs in the top of opening frame. Erin Sweeney led off with a walk and was moved to third on a sacrifice bunt from Jessica Roe.
- An Emily Knowlden ground out plated Sweeney and Angela Frampton homered down the right-field line in the next at bat for a 2-0 Laker advantage.
- Cortland knotted the game in the bottom of the first and took its first lead with a run in the second. Oswego answered to tie it in the third, as Joelle Nesci scored as a pinch runner on a Frampton single down the left-field line.
- The Red Dragons regained the lead with a run in the fourth, added two runs of insurance in the fifth and ended the game with a five-run sixth.
- Knowlden and Frampton each went 2-for-3 with the former charting one RBI while the latter drove in a pair while scoring once herself.
- Sarah McCullough and Taylor DuBois each finished with a hit, with DuBois' coming in extra-base fashion with a double.
- Frampton assumed the loss in her start, going four innings and allowing three earned runs while striking out three. Roe also fanned three in 1.2 innings of relief while Jessica Annello made an appearance in the circle as well.
Game 2
- A lead-off walk by Sweeney proved to be the only base runner for the Lakers in the contest.
- Frampton tossed three innings in her second start of the day, again only allowing three earned runs. Roe only surrendered one earned run in her inning of relief, with the pair of pitchers splitting six hits evenly.
