ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Oswego State field hockey team was unable to overcome the Hartwick College Hawks in a nonconference road contest on Wednesday afternoon. As a team, the Lakers made 11 saves in the outing.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Goalie Erica Scheblein made a season-high 10 saves, her first-ever double-digit save performance in the freshman's young career.
• Classmate Kaitlyn Mastracco aided the effort with her first-career defensive save. The freshman was able to stop a shot late in the third quarter to keep the contest at a manageable 3-0 Hawks advantage.
• Oswego spread five shots on-goal around the squad, as Megan Delaney, Riley Mallett, Alyssa DeMIchael, Kathleen Little and Kacie Simzer each finished with one.
• Simzer, DeMichael and Jenna Rogers led the team with two total shots apiece over 60 minutes of action.

The Lakers will host St. Lawrence University in a nonconference matchup at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
