OSHKOSH, Wisc. - The Oswego State volleyball team split a pair of matches at the Pizza Hut Classic hosted by UW-Oshkosh, falling to the host Titans by a 3-0 score and defeating Lawrence, 3-1, in the nightcap. The Lakers push their record out to 4-1 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the opener, Oswego got seven kills apiece from seniors Lauren Fie and Sarah Massie, as well as seven from junior Melissa Lussier.
- Tough serving by the Titans kept the Oswego attack percentage to a season-low .127, while UW-Oshkosh was able to hit at a .321 clip.
- In the evening match, the Lakers were in control early against the Vikings of Lawrence, but a late run in the first set put Oswego down a set.
- The offense started to click behind 11 kills each from Lussier and Massie.
- Senior Shannon Stone chipped in with nine kills and five total blocks with fellow senior Julia Flohr nabbing 21 assists and 20 digs.
- Shauna O'Flaherty had a balanced match with five kills, five aces and 13 digs.

The Lakers return to UW-Oshkosh for matches at 9:30 a.m. (CST) against Carroll and 1:30 p.m. versus UW-Stout.
