OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's ice hockey team hosted the Morrisville Mustangs tonight in a pivotal NEWHL matchup.
Rachael Farmer put in a great effort, making 28 saves in the game but the Lakers were shutdown, 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first period was scoreless, despite a total of 19 shots from both teams with Oswego (10) having the slight edge.
- In the second period, the Lakers had multiple opportunities on offense, but could not cash in.
- Oswego had three penalties in the second period which led to the Mustangs' first goal, scored by Maddison Devlin and assisted by Alexziz Giannamore and Chyne Kennedy.
- Morrisville led shots-on-goal in the second period 11-3.
- Rachael Farmer through two periods came up with 19 saves. Keeping the Mustangs lead to only one.
- In the third period, the Lakers out-played the mustangs, but were still unable to score. They led the Mustangs in shots on goal, 13-10.
- Morrisville scored their second goal at the 14:34 mark of the third period, scored by Maddison Devlin (2), assisted by Mackenzie Lombardi and Chyne Kennedy for her second point of the game.
- Farmer finished the game with a save percentage of .933.
- Amber Thomas led Oswego in the faceoff circle, winning eight draws.
- Kate Randazzo led the team in shots on goal with four and also recorded a block.
- Annika Neufeld-Kreider led the team in blocks with two.
- Morrisville, Potsdam and Oswego are now all tied for second place in NEWHL standings with 15 points.
