FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's basketball team used a hot-shooting first half to pull away from Fredonia in an 85-68 victory.  Freshman Jeremiah Sparks (23 points) was one of four Lakers to reach double figures in scoring on the afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Oswego hit 17-of-28 shots in the first half to take a 47-33 lead into the half.
• The game was close at 21-18 and 9:52 left in the first half when the Lakers went on a 12-3 run to open things up.
• Sophomore Julien Crittendon had 13 points, Sparks 13 and senior Joe Sullivan 11 in the first half to lead the Laker offense.
• Fredonia was only able to get as close as nine in the second half, with 12:35 remaining on the clock.
• Freshman Jamal Achille had 10 points to join Crittendon (16), Sullivan (14) and Sparks on offense.
• Sullivan led Oswego with nine rebounds while junior Liam Sanborn had seven assists.
• Oswego won the rebounding battle, 33-29.
