BROCKPORT, N.Y. – No. 23 Brockport used a pivotal run at the end of the first half to pull away from the Oswego State men's basketball team for an 82-67 victory in the SUNYAC Semifinals. Freshman
Jamal Achille led the Lakers with 19 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams were close in the opening half behind six points from freshman Jamal Achille and five from senior Joe Sullivan as Oswego was down 22-20 with just over six minutes left.
- Brockport went inside to go on a 16-3 run to end the half and take a commanding 38-23 lead into the break.
- The Golden Eagles shot 61.3% from the field while holding the Lakers to 27.3%.
- Oswego and Brockport exchanged baskets for much of the second half with the lead staying in double digits.
- Senior Brandan Gartland closed the game to 79-67 with 1:35 remaining in the contest, but the Lakers could not finish the comeback.
- Sullivan finished with 16 points for Oswego while freshman Jeremiah Sparks had nine.
- Prior to contest, the SUNYAC honored junior Liam Sanborn with the Elite 20 award for the student-athlete with the highest GPA at the finals site.
WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego entered the weekend ranked seventh in the Region and will await word on a potential at-large bid to the NCAA Basketball Championships.
