OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's ice hockey team took a non-conference victory this afternoon against the Utica Pioneers by a score of 2-1. Oswego scored the first two goals of the contest as Utica answered back but were unable to convert a second with their goalie pulled late in the third period.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego dominated the offensive zone in the first period, nearly tripling Utica in shots.
- After a scoreless first period, the Lakers, on a power play, got on the board as junior Philomena Teggart scored her third goal in her last three performances to put Oswego up 1-0 at the 4:13 mark of the second period.
- The goal was assisted by senior Kate Randazzo, who has three points in the last two games, and freshman Megan Teachout, who leads the Lakers in points, now with 23.
- After two periods, the Lakers led by two goals after Avery Webster had scored her third goal of the season at 12:32.
- Webster's goal was assisted by Sara Cruise and Morgan Shines.
- Cruise's assist extended her point-streak to three games.
- At the 11:29 mark of the third period, the Pioneers added a goal of their own. Caley Susitti scored her sixth goal of the season to put Utica within one.
- Oswego went on to secure the victory over Utica by a score of 2-1.
- The Lakers won the faceoff battle 24-19, led by Amber Thomas with nine wins.
- In the final shots-on-goal tally, Oswego held a 27-20 advantage.
- This marked Senior's Kate Randazzo and Eryn Stewart's 100th game for the Lakers.
