PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Oswego State Women's Ice Hockey team got off to a quick start as they scored the opening goal, but were unable to hold off the number one scoring offense in the country in a 6-1 setback.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Philomena Teggart gave the Lakers the lead at the 7:52 mark of the first period.
- The goal was assisted by Kate Randazzo and Megan Teachout.
- After the first period the shots were 31-18 in favor of the Cardinals, Rachael Famer had 20 saves in the period.
- The Cardinals scored four unanswered goals to give them the 4-1 lead going into the third period. One on the first period, three in the second.
- Rachael Farmer posted 16 more saves in the second period for a total of 36 going into the last period.
- Plattsburgh didn't let up, as they opened the scoring in the third period at the 15:39 mark, giving them the 5-1 lead.
- The Cardinals finished the scoring in the contest at the 16:15 mark of the third period, making it six unanswered goals for Plattsburgh.
- Teachout led the Lakers with 11 shots, including six on-goal.
- Oswego had two players represented on the All-Tournament Team as Teggart and Teachout were recognized at the conclusion of the final.
- Farmer reached her season-high in saves, as she posted 49 saves in the contest.
