OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State volleyball team made a 10-point comeback in the opening set and a 10-point run in the second set to go up 2-0 and then held the Bears off in a 3-1 road victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Potsdam raced out to a 20-10 lead in the first set before senior libero Skylar Bechard went back and chipped away with a five-point run behind two kills and a block from junior Emma Fiorentine.
- After a Bears' sideout and a Grace Taylor kill, senior Dana Carey used a pair of aces to close the set to 21-19.
- Kills down the homestretch by Taylor, sophomore Olivia Bunn and freshman Cara Simplicio fueled the comeback.
- In the second stanza, Oswego was up 8-7 before a 10-3 run by Potsdam had them up 17-11.
- Carey again took the ball and didn't stop serving until Oswego was up 21-17.
- The Bears closed to 22-21, but kills by Bunn and junior McKenna Corbin helped clinch the 2-0 advantage.
- A six-point run that flipped a 7-6 Oswego lead to a 12-7 Potsdam edge helped the hosts to a third set victory.
- It was an 11-9 Laker lead when junior Sydney Chiffriller went back and served eight in a row with some key blocking on Potsdam's top hitter by Bunn and Taylor to put Oswego in control at 19-10.
- The teams traded points for a 25-15 final score in the fourth.
- Sophomore Georgia Farry led Oswego with 10 kills with Bunn adding nine.
- Corbin had a double-double with 18 assists and 11 digs while Bechard had a match-high 19 digs.
- Taylor ended with seven blocks and five kills while Fiorentine had seven kills.
- Carey ended with 14 assists, seven digs and four aces.

Oswego will head over to Plattsburgh tomorrow for a 1 p.m. contest with the Cardinal.
