HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first minutes were end-to-end action as a pair of penalty corners for each team proved nothing, both defenses stood strong.
- With one minute and twenty seconds left in the first quarter, Erica Scheblein was tested with a shot on goal for the first time of the contest, Scheblein knocked the shot away.
- St. Lawrence came out swinging in the second quarter, putting two shots on goal in the first two minutes of the quarter.
- The pressure continued as the Saints scored their first goal at the 4:56 mark of the second quarter.
- With strong defensive play throughout the rest of the quarter from both teams, there was only one shot on goal recorded for either team.
- The third quarter started fast for the Laker offense as Kacie Simzer and Alyssa DeMichael had back-to-back scoring chances, but were shut down.
- Again, the rest of the third quarter (after DeMichael's chance) was back and forth in the mid-field, with no real scoring chances for either team.
- With many fouls in the fourth quarter for both, nothing came of them, until St. Lawrence was granted a penalty corner at the 54:44 marker.
- Shortly after this penalty corner, the Saints scored their second and final goal of the contest.
- Also recording shots for the Lakers was Jenna Rogers and Kaitlyn Jordan.
- Scheblein finished with a total of six saves.
