AURORA, N.Y. – The Oswego State Volleyball team got back on track with a win against Wells College, sweeping them 3-0.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first set, the Lakers and Express were back and forth through eight points.
- Oswego used a three-point run and a five-point run to give them the 12-5 advantage.
- After two points from the Express, the Lakers went on another four-point run giving them an 18-8 lead.
- From here, the Express put up five points to Oswego's two to get the set to 20-13.
- Oswego's Sydney Chiffriller and Emma Fiorentine earned kills for their team extending their first set lead. Fiorentine's kill earned the Lakers their 24th point of the set, the 25th point was credited by a ball-handling error for Wells.
- The story of the second set was a seven-point run for Oswego as Wells held the 9-7 lead.
- With the score for set two laying at 14-9, Wells was given three points on Laker errors.
- Within two points, the Lakers earned themselves another mid-set run (5).
- From here Oswego and Wells once again went two to one on points for nine consecutive, in Wells' favor.
- This put the set at 22-18 in favor of Oswego.
- With kills from sophomores Grace Taylor and Olivia Bunn, this put the set away for the Lakers.
- The set was won on a Wells setting error (25-21).
- In the third set of the match, Oswego found themselves down big in the first eight points of the set, Wells scoring six of those.
- Yet again, Oswego earned an impressive run of six to give them the 8-6 advantage.
- With more back-and-forth scoring, Oswego found themselves down 12-10 after a three-point run by Wells.
- Starting with a setting error for Wells, Oswego went on to score the next seven points, giving Oswego a five-point lead in the set.
- With three alternating points from each side, Oswego pulled away with a six-point run, led by middle hitter Georgia Farry.
- Farry finished the third set, and match with a kill, assisted by junior McKenna Corbin.
- Fiorentine led the Lakers in attack percentage with a percentage of .444 and senior Skylar Bechard had 14 digs on the defensive side.
- Taylor took charge for Oswego in blocks with four while senior Dana Carey and Corbin each had 10 assists.
- Farry led the Lakers in kills (7) and points (10).
- Also earning points for the Lakers were; Ally Natale (4), Cara Simplicio (3.5), Emily Zeisler (3.5), and Madison Gordon (3).

Oswego will return home at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 15 to take on the Oneonta Red Dragons.
