OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State Women's Ice Hockey team played the #1 Plattsburgh Cardinals tough as they outshot the Cardinals throughout, 31-22.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first period the Lakers came out slinging in the offensive zone, peppering the offensive zone with shots.
- Plattsburgh's defense did their best at not letting any shots through, they had 29 blocks throughout the contest.
- Morgan Shines continued to glow in the faceoff circle, leading the Lakers with an impressive 9-6 W/L ratio.
- The faceoff battle was split right down the middle 30-30.
- In the second period, the green and gold had multiple opportunities, but were unable to capitalize. They outshot the Cardinals 14-6 in the second stanza.
- Oswego also outshot the Cardinals 11-4 in the third period, the defense for Plattsburgh seemed impenetrable as they continued blocking opportunities in the Oswego scoring zone.
