HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 2

- Catcher Zoe Mennig plated her with a single down the left field line to put the Lakers up 1-0.
- In the second inning, Leah Czerwinski walked and moved into scoring position with a hit from Samantha Morgan.
- A pair of errors would allow Czerwinski to come around to score and make it 2-0.
- The Lakers' third run was generated by a Brianna LoMonaco walk and stolen base, followed by a Wrubel single.
- Pinch hitter Tai Smith delivered a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded in the fifth inning to conclude the scoring for Oswego.
- Things got interesting in the top of the seventh as Fredonia finally got to Hoeflich with three runs and had a pair of runners aboard.
- Higgins entered and induced a groundout before walking the bases full to give Oswego multiple double-play options.
- The coaching strategy paid off as Higgins got a grounder to second that led to a force at home and throw to first for the game-ending outs.
- Hoeflich improves to 3-2 on the season while that is the first save for Higgins on the year.

- Fredonia answered back on a three-run homer and an unearned run in the top of the fourth to grab a 4-2 lead.
- The Lakers closed to 4-3 on a Mennig homerun in the bottom of the sixth, but Fredonia responded once again with a pair in the seventh to close it out.
