Fiona Higgins led the Lakers with a pair of hits each.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
- Geneseo used three triples to put five runs on the board in the bottom of the second inning and take control of the game.
- Wilson went 2-for-2 for Oswego, but the Knights were able to scatter just four other hits across the seven innings.
- The difference in the game was Geneseo batting 5-for-19 with runners in scoring position compared to Oswego going 0-for-3.
- Sophomore Samantha Morgan (1-2) took the loss with one and a third innings and three earned runs. Classmate Madison Hoeflich finished the last four and two thirds, allowing a pair of unearned runs.
Game 2
- Higgins smacked doubles in the first and fourth innings to get into scoring position, but the Lakers could not convert.
- Geneseo put three up in the bottom of the first, a pair on the board in the third inning, and one in the fifth.
- Higgins (1-3) went all six innings for Oswego, striking out two Knights.
WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego hosts Buffalo State on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the Laker Softball Field in the rematch from a two-game sweep for the Green and Gold back on April 14.
