HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cortland raced out to a 3-0 lead with 5:50 left in the opening quarter before Gray scored his first goal on an assist from freshman Lucas Cioch to stop the run.
- In the second quarter, Dollard answered goals from Cortland with his pair to make it 5-3.
- Four minutes into the third period Cioch scored to close the game to 5-4 before Cortland began to dominate possession and pull away.
- The Red Dragons scored a pair to go up 7-4, then an Oswego goal from Garrett Petrelli, followed by a 7-0 run.
- Mike Fleming halted the run and Gray concluded the Laker scoring.
- Cortland held statistical advantages in faceoffs (17-10), groundballs (31-16), and shots on goal (32-18).
- Senior goalie Kevin O'Donnell made a game-high 16 saves for Oswego.
