HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
- It was a game of offense as both teams recorded 18 hits in the contest.
- Oswego raced out to an 8-0 through four innings behind RBI hits from Paul Tammaro, Brendon Frank, Lauria and Felton.
- Clarkson's offense kicked into gear in the fifth with a pair of runs and then eight more in the sixth to grab the lead.
- The Golden Knights' bullpen allowed just a Ryan Weiss RBI single over the final six innings to break Oswego's 16-game win streak.
- Tammaro, Frank and Connor Stanton all had three hits in the game for the Lakers.
Game 2
- Behind 3-run homeruns from Lauria in the first inning and Felton in the second, Oswego raced out to a 9-1 lead through two innings.
- Just like the opener, Clarkson's offense awoke with four in the fourth and three in the fifth to close the gap to 9-8.
- The visitors put the leadoff runner aboard in the top of the sixth leading to Kieran Finnegan to come on and retired the next three batters.
- In the bottom of the inning, a sacrifice fly by freshman Jacob Levine and RBI single by Jared Kwicinski would give Oswego some insurance.
- Finnegan would escape the tying run at the plate in the seventh for his first save of the season.
- Connor VanDreason (2-0) picked up the win with three and two-thirds of an inning pitched and four strikeouts.
