OSWEGO, N.Y. - Despite dominating the offensive possession, the Oswego State men's soccer team had to settle for the 1-1 tie with visiting Morrisville State in the season opener for both squads.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego poured it on in the first half, with a 10-2 advantage in shots and 5-1 edge in corner kicks.
- An early goal by the visitors in the second half at the 48:07 mark gave the Lakers their first deficit of the young season.
- Sophomore Kyle Gehnrich tallied the equalizer five minutes later on an assist from junior Michael Gualtieri.
- The Lakers continued to press with a 33-1 edge in shots during the second half and two overtime frames.
- Morrisville State goalie Cody Welkley kept his team in it with a game-high 14 saves.
