CANTON, N.Y. - Senior Liz Myers netted Oswego's first two goals to lead the Lakers to a 5-0 win over SUNY Canton and help the squad to a 2-0 start to the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• On Myers' opening goal, she received a through ball on assists from Maggie Riordan and Therese Persichetty and tucked it into the net at the 14:27 mark of the first half.
• She moved Oswego out to a 2-0 lead nine minutes later on a shot past the goalie's left side.
• Assists were credited to Luigina Serrao and Riordan.
• Freshman Jackie Marquardt notched her first collegiate goal just before halftime from a cross by Katie Delgrosso.
• In the second half, the Lakers scored after their cross was punched away, but right to senior Graisa Madden, who buried her first of the season.
• With a few minutes remaining in the contest, junior Andrea Hernandez beat two defenders before finishing for the final score of the contest.
• The Laker defense held Canton to just a single shot with Haley Muehl making the save.
• Oswego held a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks and 24-1 edge in shots.
