OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's soccer team rallied late behind a goal from
Kyle Gehnrich to tie the Utica Pioneers. It was Genhrich's third goal in the three games this year for the Lakers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers had decent chances in the first half, including a bicycle kick attempt to the far corner by Matthew Sturman.
- With about 10 minutes left in the first stanza, the Lakers swung a corner kick to the far post and nearly scored on a bounced header, before a solid save from Utica's Foti Xidias,
- Later in the half, a bounced through ball was lifted over Xidias by Gehnrich and cleared off the line with a header by the Pioneer defense.
- Utica finally broke the scoring open after a free kick was sent into the left side of the Oswego box and headed back for a wide open header into the Oswego net.
- Oswego answered with five minutes remaining when Caleb Munski sent a pass down to Ryan Young on the right side.
- Young turned along the baseline and fed a pass to the middle for a Gehnrich shot past Xidias to the far post.
- In the overtime period, Gehnrich, Kyle Hanner, and Kieran Gilroy had decent scoring chances, but could not convert.
- Both teams put five shots on goal, with Oswego holding a 9-6 advantage in corner kicks.
- Senior Brian Terra made four saves in the tie.
