OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's basketball team held the New Paltz Hawks 24 points below their season scoring average in running away with an 82-53 victory in Max Ziel Gymnasium. The win extends the Lakers' win streak to 15 contests and improves their record to 18-1 overall and 12-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- New Paltz held a 6-3 lead four minutes into the contest.
- Over the next 10 minutes, Oswego went on a 21-4 run to build a 34-10 lead with 5:27 remaining in the opening half.
- Senior Brendan Mulson scored six points in a 12-9 advantage for the Lakers to make it 46-19 at the break.
- The lead expanded to 38 points on a Kaleb Cook three pointer with 10:46 left to play in the contest.
- From there, Oswego's bench extended the lead as high as 42 points on buckets by Chris Toscano and later by Luke Van Slyke with just over five minutes to play.
- New Paltz made a 15-2 run to end the contest behind a pair of threes from RJ Meyers-Turner.
- Junior Devin Green had 13 points to lead Oswego while Cook and senior Christian Simmons had 11 points each.
- Mulson ended with eight points and six rebounds while senior Jamal Achille also had eight points.
- The Lakers outrebounded the Hawks 46-34 and outshot them 42.3% to 37.9%.
- Oswego ranks inside the top-10 nationally in rebound margin (9.8), scoring defense (59.4), scoring margin (19.9) and win-loss percentage (.947).
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers host Potsdam at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Max Ziel Gymnasium. Oswego won the first meeting in North Country by a 76-58 score on January 13.
