ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Oswego State Field Hockey team defeated the Nazareth Golden Flyers this evening with an excellent fourth quarter offensive performance. The Lakers were able to net three goals in the fourth to lift them over the Golden Flyers.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Oswego's offense would start out swinging in the first quarter, getting four shots off, with three on-goal.

Kacie Simzer would have a shot saved by Nazareth just over five minutes into the contest.

Molly Darcy would miss a shot just to the left of the goal, following a penalty corner assessed to the Lakers shortly after a Simzer shot.

Megan Delaney would have a shot saved by Nazareth's goalie shortly after the intercepted pass on the inbound following Darcy's shot.

There wasn't much action for the next five minutes, as both defenses kept the ball around midfield.

Nazareth was able to squeeze by the Laker's defense to get a shot off, just over ten minutes into the quarter (10:35). This shot would miss to the right of the net.

The Lakers would drive the field, and get another shot on goal. This time, Nancy Pagliaroli would have her shot saved by Nazareth's goalie.

Oswego's defense was in control in the first quarter, only allowing one shot by Nazareth. Oswego would have four shots attempted, with three landing on goal.

Oswego would get their second penalty corner of the evening, just over three minutes into the second quarter (18:06). The Laker's would be unable to capitalize as the defense by Nazareth didn't allow a shot to be made by Oswego.

Just over five minutes into the second, Nazareth would have their first shot on goal. Erica Scheblein would kick the ball out of bounds, recording her first save of the night.

Scheblein would record her second save of the night at 22:25.

Bryleigh Beauchat would attempt and miss a shot after the Lakers pushed the ball upfield shortly after Scheblein's save.

Simzer would start to heat up for the Lakers, recording two shots in the final eight minutes (23:58, 25:09).
