OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State Men's Soccer team hosted the Hawks this afternoon which proved to be a chippy matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The beginning of the match was relatively quiet, as a result of great defense being played.

Oswego had a chance around the 10-minute mark to get the first score of the match off a free kick. Anastasios Diacovasilis missed slightly high of the net.

Around the 15-minute mark, Matt D'Arpino had ridiculous back-to-back diving saves.

The Hawks would strike first, 18:23 into the first half, the ball flew past D'Arpino.

Jason Wuytack would have a shot saved after the Hawks goal.

New Paltz would receive a free kick at the 27:33 mark, which led to another goal by the Hawks.

Nikola Kovacevic would get the Lakers their first goal of the game, assisted by Brendan Murphy (35:25).

The remainder of the half would be scoreess, with each team having opportunities to score. Neither team was able to capitalize.

The second half would remain quiet until halfway through the half.
