GENEVA, N.Y. – The Oswego State Men's and Women's swimming & diving team competed in Geneva against Hobart and William Smith College, as well as St. Lawrence University in a tri-meet. While the women's team were unsuccessful, the men's team prevailed against both of theirs.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Lakers won 10 of the 30 races, and one of the two diving events.

Raymond Paull won three races, including the men's 50 yard (29.38) and 100 yard breaststroke (1:06.05), as well as the men's 50 yard butterfly (25.27).

Matthew Seyse won the men's 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:24.97. He also was victorious in an Oswego one-two finish in the 100 yard freestyle, with Ryan Murphy finishing in second.

Jayna Laferriere won the women's 50 yard freestyle with a time of 27.05.

Zachary Brown won both the men's 50 yard backstroke (26.37) and the 100 yard backstroke (56.41). Brown's time in the 100 yard backstroke was over four seconds faster than the second place finisher.

Mackenzie Jewett won the women's 1 meter diving with a score of 139.8.

Erick Zizic won the men's 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:49.7

The Oswego men won the men's 200 yard freestyle relay, with Seyse, Alex Jenks, Jack Olsian, and Vincent Mullen combining for a time of 1:32.88, over 5 seconds faster than the second place team.
