Lakers Fall To Golden Knights in Swimming and Diving

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's and women's swimming and diving teams took on the Clarkson Golden Knights this afternoon.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the first event on the afternoon the Women's swimming squad took the 200 yard medley relay. On that team was Alexia Lemus, Emily Lotito, Fion Hon and Jayna Laferriere. Their final time was 1:59.95.
Ryan Liedka, William Sterling, Ray Paull and Vincent Mullen took second place in the 200 yard medley relay.
In the fifth event on the schedule, Laferriere took first place in the 200 yard freestyle.
In the eighth event, Zach Brown won the 50 yard backstroke in a time of 25.79. This was nearly two seconds faster than the second place finisher.
Emily Lotito took after Brown in the 50 yard breaststroke, winning that event in a time of 33.67 seconds.
Paull took second place in the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 29.74.
Alexia Lemus was victorious in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 26.34.
Lotito took another victory in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.45.
Brown took his second victory of the day in the 100 yard breaststroke finishing in just under a minute (59.39).
Hon took second place in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 31.10.
Paull was victorious in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 25.28.
Laferriere took another event in the 100 yard IM with a finishing time of 1:08.10.
Matt Seyse, Ray Paull, Jack Olsian and Zach Brown took first place in the 200 yard freestyle relay.
Mullen, Liedka, Alexander Jenks and Erick Zizek took first place in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:35.43
Mullen took first place in the 1 meter diving event with a score of 163.35
