PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Oswego State Men's Basketball team defeated the Plattsburgh Cardinals in a game that saw Devin Green stuff the stat sheet with a 34-point performance. Green recorded a double-double along with Ahkee Anderson who was just one assist from a triple-double.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Lakers found themselves down by a score of 13-2 in the early going, Oswego found their groove as the half went on and Devin Green hit a three to take the lead at 26-23.

Green scored 16 points in a first half that ended with both teams tied at 40 entering the break.

Oswego shot just over 45% from the field in the first half, and had eight three-pointers, four of which came from Green.

The first nine minutes stayed close, with Plattsburgh taking a two-point lead with 11:15 remaining.

Ahkee Anderson hit a three to take the lead 60-59 to start Oswego's 17-4 run.

The Lakers quickly scored 17 points in the span of less than four minutes.

Three Lakers scored during the run, led by Anderson, who had seven, Green, who had five, and Jamal Achille who also had five.

From that point forward, Oswego fended off every challenge Plattsburgh had to offer and finished off the win by a score of 86-74.

Oswego shot the ball better in the second half at 54%. Oswego also out-rebounded the Cardinals 22-9.

Devin Green's performance was notable because his two halves nearly mirrored each other on the stat sheet, with four threes in both halves. He scored 16 points in the first half and 18 in the second half.

This 34-point performance for Green is a career-high for him, previously a 22-point career high which occurred in the NCAA tournament against Marietta last season.

Green also recorded four steals and FIFTEEN assists, earning another double-double on the season.

Anderson's big second half gave him a 20-point game to go along with ten rebounds, two steals and nine assists becoming the second player on the squad to record a double-double in the game, just one assist away from a triple-double in the contest.

Joey Rowback had 11, and Achille had nine points.

Jeremiah Sparks ended the contest with seven points, ten rebounds and seven assists.

The men will travel to Utica to compete in the Utica University tournament on December 29.
