HOW IT HAPPENED
- Through the opening three minutes, the scores was Simmons 10, Blue Devils six as Simmons hit a pair of threes and two layups.
- The Lakers made an 11-0 run to push the lead out to 21-6 behind four from Brown and four from sophomore Jeremiah Sparks.
- It was 27-10 after a junior Kaleb Cook layup with ten minutes to play in the opening half.
- Behind 52.8% shooting, Oswego took a 49-25 lead into the break.
- Simmons added another 12 points in the opening five minutes of the second half and Oswego up 67-33.
- In the final seven minutes, the Oswego reserves closed out the game led by sophomore Sean Edwards' eight points.
- Simmons finished with 24 points and seven rebounds and Sparks ended with 12 points.
- Crittendon had 11 points, Brown added eight and Sanfilippo had three assists and a steal.
- It was the third time this season that the Lakers have score 100 or more.
- Oswego came into the contest ranked fourth nationally in scoring defense (59.6) and scoring margin (19.9) and should improve in both categories.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will host the Semifinals of the SUNYAC Championship starting Friday in Max Ziel Gymnasium and will find out their opponent after Tuesday's quarterfinal contests.
