OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State baseball team hosted the Yellowjackets of The University of Rochester this afternoon. After Rochester got off to an early three run lead in the first inning, Oswego began to claw their way back into the game coming within one. Their comeback fell short as Rochester held on to win 4-3. The game was delayed twixe due to inclimate weather conditions, the second proved to be too much as the game was called after eight innings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rochester hit a solo home run off the first at bat to take an early 1-0 lead
- Later in that inning Rochester managed to bring in two runs after a single was hit down the right side, taking the 3-0 lead.
- Oswego got on the scoreboard in the second inning after Julian Drew hit a single down left field to bring in CJ McCarthy for the score, bringing them within two runs.
- At the top of the sixth inning, an Oswego error brought in another run for the Yellowjackets.
- Oswego put two runs on the board after Ryan Enos hit a single to bring in Paul Tammaro and Tishawn Featherstone. This hit put Enos first in the country in batting average, a tall feat.
- Oswego's comeback was halted by the second lightning delay of the contest, causing the game to be called after eight innings.

The Lakers take on SUNY Oneonta at Oneonta, N.Y. The contest is set for 3 p.m. on Friday.
