ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Oswego State softball team paid a visit to the Oneonta Red Dragons to play a doubleheader. In the first contest, Oswego took an early one run lead but Oneonta took control of the game in the fourth inning to win 5-1. The second contest the Lakers fell to the Red Dragons by a score of 7-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
- Oswego opened up scoring in the contest after Zoe Mennig hit a single to bring in Taylor Dubois for the run, Lakers lead 1-0.
- Oneonta responded in the third inning tying the game up at one a piece.
- The fourth inning was a repeat of the third, the Red Dragons scored another run to take a 2-1 lead.
- Oneonta began to pull away, scoring two runs in the fifth inning, Lakers trail 4-1.
- The Red Dragons drew last blood, scoring their fifth run of the contest.
- Oneonta won the contest 5-1.
Game 2
- Oneonta started off firing, taking a four-run lead in the first inning.
- In the third inning Mennig hit a double to bring in Dubois for the score and put Oswego on the board.
- The Red Dragons scored again in the fifth inning to give them a four run lead.
- Oneonta added two more runs to their lead in the sixth inning, Lakers trail 7-1.
- Mennig hit a solo home run to give the Lakers their second run of the contest.
- Oneonta won the contest 7-2.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers take on SUNY Plattsburgh in a double header. The contests are set for 10am and 12pm on Monday April 25 at Laker Softball field.
