OSWEGO, N.Y. – The #18 ranked Oswego State Baseball team took on the #5 Cortland Red Dragons in an entertaining contest. This game went down to the wire as it was close all throughout and even stretched into 10 innings. The Lakers were able to come away with the win after Lukas Olsson hit a clutch three-run homer in the 10th inning with two outs after going down 7-6 in the top of the inning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cortland opened up the scoring in the first inning after a single helped bring in a runner in.
- The Red Dragons added to their lead after a sacrifice fly ball brought in another run, Cortland took the 2-0 lead.
- Paul Tammaro, leading off in the bottom of the third, tripled, putting the Lakers in a great position.
- Oswego got on the board in the bottom of the third inning when Ryan Enos hit a double to score Tammaro.
- Lukas Olsson hit a two run homer to take a 3-2 lead, scoring himself and Enos.
- Cortland tied the game up and took the lead in the sixth inning by scoring three runs on three hits and one error.
- The Lakers minimized the damage to only three runs, getting out of the bases-loaded jam in the top of the sixth.
- Ryan Weiss hit a monstrous solo homerun to left field to bring the Lakers within one run.
- A wild pitch brought in Julian Drew for the score tied the game at five.
- Ryan Enos hit a double and picked up an RBI when Jacob Levine scored to take a 6-5 lead.
- Cortland tied the game up in the seventh inning with an RBI single.
- The Red Dragons in the top of the ninth hit the ball hard but the Lakers defense came up huge, snagging three hard hit balls to end the ninth inning for the Red Dragons.
- Cortland took the lead in the top of the 10th, giving them the 7-6 lead.
- Frank Levanti reached first base on an error by the shortstop, then Weiss walked, Enos walked and Kyle Lauria reached on a fielder's choice as Enos was thrown out at second for the force out.
- Olsson then hit a clutch three run homer to defeat #5 Cortland with two outs in the bottom of the first extra frame.

The Lakers take on Cortland again at Laker Baseball Field in a doubleheader. The contests are set for 12 p.m. and 2:30p.m. on Saturday April 30.
