BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Oswego State Men's and Women's swimming & diving team competed in a tri-meet against Buffalo State and Medaille College, winning three out of four of their head-to-head matchups.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Lakers won 12 of the 24 races and both diving events.

  • Zachary Brown won three events; the Men's 200 Yard IM (2:06.10), the Men's 100 Yard Backstroke (where he finished over six seconds in front of second place with a time of 55.08), and his most dominant performance, the Men's 100 Yard Breaststroke, where he finished almost seven seconds in front of second place (59.80).

  • Emily Lotito won the Women's 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:53.33 and the Women's 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 12:02.35, a dominant 23 seconds faster than second place.

  • Jack Olsian won the Men's 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 23.25.

  • Jayna Laferriere won the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:06.34, nearly nine seconds quicker than the next finisher.

  • Matthew Seyse won the Men's 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 11:16.73.

  • Alexia Lemus won the Women's 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:09.23.

  • Lemus, Laferriere, Abby Hinman and Anna Baker won the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:50.81.

  • Seyse, Olsian, Vincent Mullen and Alexander Jenks won the Men's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:32.25.

  • Mullen won the Men's One Meter Dive with a final score of 143.05.

  • Jessica Pelkey won the Women's One Meter Dive with a final score of 156.90.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Lakers will host Cortland in the Laker Pool on Wednesday January 18.
