OSWEGO, N.Y.  –  On Saturday, the Oswego State Women's Soccer Team held conference-leader New Paltz to a 0-0 tie to maintain their grip on one of the finals spots in the end-of-season conference tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lakers pressed the action in the opening half and had a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
• Oswego outshot the Hawks by a 6-5 margin in the first half, forcing three saves from the visiting goalie.
• In the second half, New Paltz had the edge in corners, 3-0, but could not solve the Laker defense.
• In total, Oswego held a 9-8 advantage in shots in the contest, with freshman Alora Miller leading the team with three.
