Lakers Tie Blue Devils In SUNYAC Tilt

Oswego, N.Y.  –  The Oswego State Women's Soccer team faced off against SUNY Fredonia in a heated home match, which ended in a tie as both teams displayed insurmountable determination and initiative.

Final Score: Oswego State 2 (4-2-4, 1-1-2 SUNYAC), SUNY Fredonia 2  (5-3-2, 2-2-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Lakers had a rocky start, with the Blue Devils got on the board early at 7:28.

  • That early goal awoke the sleeping giants as the Lakers as they were on the offensive making 7 shots and 3 corner kicks.

  • Period 2 was action packed, with the offensive being traded back and forth.

  • Two goals were scored by Luigina Serrao assisted by Brianna Winkler and a second score by Jackie Marquardt assisted by Alora Miller. 

  • Lakers forward Katie Delgrosso led the charge making 6 shots throughout the game.

  • As neither the Laker's nor the Blue Devils refused to let up, the fierce contest ended in a tie of 2-2.
