PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Oswego State Women's Hockey headed to Plattsburgh to face their rivals in the first game of SUNYAC play. The Lakers took the lead early but ultimately fell to the Cardinals by a score of 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers jumped out to an early lead with a goal just 1:02 into the 1st period by Mack Hull.
- Plattsburgh would come by to tie the score at 1 on an unassisted goal by Adriana Urban halfway through the period.
- The game would remain deadlocked through the 2nd period as the Lakers and Cardinals remained tied in a defensive struggle.
- Plattsburgh would find the breakthrough goal 11:04 into the 3rd period as Julia Masotta managed to put one past Oswego goalie, Lexi Levy.
- The game would then be put further out of reach on a Plattsburgh powerplay goal 3 minutes later by Mae Olshansky.
- Despite Plattsburgh's lone powerplay goal, both special teams struggled to find the net as the Lakers went 0-4 on the powerplay while the Cardinal went 1-5.
