CANTON, N.Y. – Oswego State Women's Hockey wrapped up the first weekend of SUNYAC play in Canton taking on the Roos. The Lakers fell for the second time this weekend in a defensive battle, losing 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams struggled to generate offense early as the first period ended scoreless with Oswego leading in the shots on goal category, 6-4.
- The second period brought more opportunities as the Lakers generated 8 shots while the Roos put 15 attempts on Oswego goalie Hannah Skavnak.
- Once again, neither team was able to find the back of the net and the teams ended 40 minutes in a scoreless draw.
- The deadlock was finally broken at 11:21 of the third period when Canton's Riley Andzel put the first and only goal of the game past the Laker goalkeeper.
- The game saw little additional opportunities to generate offense with special teams as the Lakers only saw 2 powerplay chances and the Canton power play unit only had one chance.
