AUBURNDALE, FL – The Oswego State Softball team completed their spring break trip to Florida, dropping two games to both Lasell University and Carleton College.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One

Oswego took a 2-0 lead in the first with a two-run RBI single from Christina Kania.

Over the next two innings, Lasell scored two runs to tie the score.

Oswego took a 4-2 lead in the fourth inning off an error at third base, followed by an RBI double from Mattison Phinney.

Lasell scored five runs to take a 7-4 lead in the fifth, and then scored five more in the sixth to take the win, 12-4.

Madison Hoeflich went 2-for-3 with a walk for the game.
Game Two

Carleton took a 1-0 lead in the first inning.

Fiona Higgins hit a solo home run in the second inning to tie the game at one apiece.

Carleton was able to score a run in the third inning to take the lead once again, and the Lakers tied the game at two off an error at first base.

Still, Carleton recaptured a 3-2 lead in the fifth inning, and knocked in four more in the seventh to take a 7-2 victory.

Hoeflich again went 2-for-3, and Mattison Phinney also had a hit in the game.
WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego State will travel to Rochester on Wednesday, March 22 for two games against the Tigers. The games will be at 3 pm and 5 pm.
