CORTLAND, NY – The Oswego State Baseball team fell to the reigning SUNYAC Champions of SUNY Cortland after a sixth inning, two-out rally by the Red Dragons, scoring eight runs.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Cortland got out to an early 1-0 lead off of a single to right field, scoring one.

In the fourth inning, Jacob Levine tied the game with a homer to left field with the 1-1 count.

Cortland had a rough time in the fourth inning, walking two runs in after the Lakers loaded the bases. Another run then scored on a passed ball to give the Green and Gold the 4-1 lead.

The fifth inning went scoreless and the Red Dragons broke through in the sixth inning. Cortland had eight runs on eight hits and left one on base. All eight of their runs were scored with two outs.

In a SAC bunt situation, the Red Dragons scored their 10th run in the seventh inning.

Tishawn Featherstone doubled to right center to give the Lakers their fifth and final run of the evening, scoring Owen Parliament, resulting in a 10-5 loss.

Oswego State will hope to keep their season alive tomorrow against Oneonta State in their second game of the double elimination SUNYAC Championship with the first pitch set for 3:30pm at SUNY Cortland.
